This picture was taken during my roommate's performance art piece entitled "100 Women". It took place in an apartment in an abandoned housing project near Fisherman's wharf in San Francisco. The walls were decorated with hand-drawings of each of the women involved (the drawing is that of my roommate).The piece consisted of getting 100 women together into a smallish apartment for one hour. During that hour, they could not leave and had to remain silent. People of either sex were permitted to walk through to view the piece. Imagine how you would feel walking into a room of totaly silent women who simultaneously look at you as you enter.
