We got up very very early to catch the ferry to Ocracoke Island, home of some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever visited. There is limited 4x4 access to some of the beach, which is oh so convenient, and wrong. This is me, on the beach, as reflected in the window of the big hulking SUV.
