I was walking around outside while it was snowing today. Did you ever notice how quiet it is when there's a lot of snow? It muffles everything. It hides any visible defects that might be in the area as well. Ruts in the ground, chewed up asphalt, whatever. Even dead trees that have fallen over look beautiful when covered with snow. All this whiteness causes thing like my black winter coat to jump out in sharp contrast. At least I won't be mistaken for a polar bear.
