adventures in reflective surfaces
we were doing a Moxie float for the fourth of july parade in damariscotta. of course everything was happening at the last minute; we were picking up the trailer at noon, and the parade was at 5. Pam's mother's subaru had a hitch: 1 and 7/8ths inch. the trailer hitch was 2 inches, and so we had to get a new one on the car. the old hitch was rusted into place: we wrenched it with wrenches, hit it with a hammer, and finally hacksawed it off. this is the shiny new 2-inch hitch. I am wearing plaid cutoffs and an orange moxie shirt.
